It's that time of year again. The time when ol' man winter finally eases up with his relentless cruelty. The time when, at the first hint of sunshine and warm weather, we strip off our winter clothes to expose our unsheathed skin (or rather pale sacks of atrophied muscle) to the public. I guess it's a bit different in more temperate regions, but having grown up in the northeast (and thus having been able to fully enjoy the complete fickleness of the four seasons), summer to me is a special fleeting gem that is meant to be enjoyed to it's utmost potential whilst it lasts. It is during this time that I am happiest when my skin is covered in tiny grains of silica and sand, my hair is coated with a layer of salt, and that bonfire down by the shore lasts all night...

I have recently come to discover that my musical taste often changes on a weekly, if not daily basis. That being said, I have also realized that I should start documenting these fleeting obsessions. Sometimes it's a song, sometimes it's an entire album, sometimes it's the collective works of an artist, but most often it's a certain sound that I'm drawn to.
That's where this space comes in, a bulletin board for my musical whims, if you will. These will be presented as short playlists that will sometimes follow some sort of a coherent theme and sometimes won't. Who knows what this will become? I sure don't...
